Talley Olivers Vineyard Chardonnay Edna Valley 2006

This chardonnay is wonderful example of Central Coast Chardonnay.  Located in San Luis Obispo, California, the Talley family made a natural progression from a agriculture to wine making.  Their vineyards consistently produce great Chardonnay and this bottle is no exception.

On the nose, the Oliver's Vineyard chardonnay shows creamy coconut, golden delicious apples, key lime, and honey.  The flavors turn to vanilla, fresh limes and toasted coconut on the palate.  There is a hint of toast to the wine, as well as a hint of stone.  It has a nice creamy texture, but also a nice little spritz of acidity which is found both on the palate and in the citrusy finish.

A delicous sample of what Edna Valley has to offer.

14.5% alcohol
$32.00 (in the tasting room)
